Red Bull F1 racing team’s Sebastian Vettel exhibited the best racing performance by setting the quickest lap-time during the 2^nd practice prior the Italian Grand Prix at Monza; Vettel, who was previously hammered by critics in the F1 news and by several formula one drivers such as Jenson Button, topped the F1 standings ahead of McLaren F1 cars and Ferrari.

German idol Vettel ended his lap with a time of 1 minute 22.839 seconds; the top spot was acquired with 21 minutes remaining into the practice session’s 90 minutes. 1 minute later, Fernando Alonso cruised along the Monza F1 circuit and took over Felipe Massa in the other Ferrari formula 1 race car at the top rank.

Few moments earlier to Alonso's top spot, Massa was caught on camera as his F1 car touched the grass at the Parabolica and nearly got caught into the gravel while avoiding the barriers. Luckily for Massa, the car got a grip and made it onto the tarmac racing track and then into the pitlane.

Still, his lap time was too good to rank in 3^rd at the F1 standings; with F1 teams demonstrating long shifts rather than the usual quick qualifying-style laps during the closing stages. Meanwhile, former F1 champions Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button tackled the Monza circuit and finished the qualifying session respectively 4^th and 5^th.

Referring to the McLaren officials, the team hadn’t run the F-Duct on Hamilton's formula one car but had indeed activated it with Button’s F1racing vehicle; the test aims to secure the best decision for stripping both F1 cars from the F Duct technology or to keep it during the whole weekend starting from the F1 final practice, F1 qualifying Monza Grad Prix and at the Italian Grand Prix itself.

Vettel’s securing the top spot was definitely a joy for the Red Bull F1 squad but watching Mark Webber ranking 6^th overall wasn’t appealing for the Red Bull racing team that had to send Webber onto the Monza tarck late due to a mecanical loss of water pressure.

Former F1 champion and F1 record holder Michael Schumacher demonstrated an early scare at the Parabolica; the legendary Schumi ended the session in 14th while team mate Nico Rosberg brought the Mercedes F1 car in 10th.

Force India F1 cars were able to breach the 11^th and 12^th spot respectively by Adrian Sutil and Vitantonio Liuzzi; the India F1 racing team was reported as improving despite heavy critics handed by the F1 news and motorsport experts.
