Korean Grand Prix Results

Scuderia Ferrari F1 driver and former F1 world champion Fernando Alonso succeeded in leading the formula one Championship after knocking all the F1 betting odds and F1 predictions that favored the Red Bull F1 racing team to win the Korean Grand Prix that, against all expectations, saw both Red Bull F1 cars being respectively crashed and engine-blown.

Spanish 2-time F1 champion stepped into the top spot of the Korean Grand Prix after the Mark Webber F1 crash as the track was getting dry; eventhough Sebastian Vettel was able to lead the Korean racing event all the way from the start, he was later forced to withdraw due to an engine failure.

British former formula one champion and McLaren F1 team’s Lewis Hamilton ranked 2nd overall in the F1 Korea standings, leading ahead of Felipe Massa. Referring to the F1 stats on the F1.com (official formula 1 site), Hamilton breached the 3rd pole of the F1 drivers championship rankings 210 points whereas Webber’s total froze on 220. Fernando Alonso, new F1 Championship standings leader has 231.

With 2 F1 races remaining onto the 2010 F1 schedule, the fight that previously featured 5 F1 drivers will now be restricted to only 4, with Button being pushed out of the competition. The Korean GP that gave Alonso a significant advantage onto the F1 rankings and points, was caught in a controversial due to the delays in finishing and restoring the construction which almost caused the FIA to cancel it from the F1 calendar 2010.

The delays, just like it happened during the motorsport event, were due to the torrential rains that were also reported to affect the Korean economy not to mention the fact that hundreds of F1 tickets weren’t sold due to the rain precipitation.

The race was launched after several minutes of delay with the Mercedes SLS AMG leading the pack of F1 cars as the track was drying out of water; several F1 drivers were heard through team radios as they complained about the indecision about starting the race by pulling out the Safety car.

Vettel, who had flying his Red Bull F1 car at the front, had to see his lead drained by the entrance of the SLS AMG safety car, with Scuderia Ferrari driver Felipe Massa, Mercedes F1’ Jenson Button and Michael Schumacher following the pace of Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton.

7-times F1 world champion, Michael Schumacher, has possibly ended the best race of his 2010 F1 career after slipping into the 5th spot, ahead of Button, with merely 3 laps remaining from the F1 racing event.

F1 Stats – Formula 1 statistics

9 F1 drivers had failed to end the Korean Grand Prix; Nico Rosberg was enganged with an F1 crash with Mark Webber, Vettel ended the hopes of Red Bull F1 by blowing an engine, whereas Buemi, Petrov, Sutil, Timo Glock, Lucas di Grassi and Jarno Trulli were also ousted due to several reasons.

F1 betting on Korean Grand Prix marked one of the most thrilling bidding experiences due to the continuous change of F1 positions throughout the race; a bet on Red Bull F1 team has been warned since the beginning of the weekend, telling that the Korean circuit was not suitable for the Red Bull F1 cars which were slower that McLaren, Mercedes, Ferrari and Renault.
