Referring to the boxing news and hbo boxing speculations, elder boxing champion Ricky Hatton checked into rehab for suffering what’s known as a severe depression due to the usage of drugs; drug usage is known for its aftermath which leads to destruction which led Hatton to check into the medical boxes in order to escape addiction.

Hatton, who wore his boxing gloves for the last time back in May 2009, was filmed by the “News of the World” as he was snorting cocaine in a Manchester hotel toilet. The boxing champion’s spokesman Max Clifford told the boxing news reporter and the Press Association that "Ricky's father has already been talking to the specialists over the last few weeks. He and others have been increasingly concerned about Ricky's depression and his drinking. He met with the specialist for many hours and he was told that his depression is severe and that he has a drink problem.

The spokesperson added to the live boxing media that "The drugs are quite recent and not actually the problem when we're talking about degrees."

Note that Hatton is working as a boxing promoter whose license with the British Boxing Board of Control might be lost; the same board has expressed the crucial need to meet Hatton in person for discussions and further investigation about the issues that were brought to the boxing news.

Ever since being knocked out to the boxing floor 3 times inside 2 rounds by Manny Pacquiao in May 2009, Hatton packed his boxing gear and boxing equipment; away from boxing games, the former boxing champion was taking charge of exhibiting few boxing training privately.
