Max Mosley Returns to FIA

Scuderia Ferrari's Alonso will undervalue the F1 championship if he wins the Formula 1 championship by less than 7 points, as declared by the FIA former president Max Mosley, who got replaced by Jean Todt in 2009.

Spanish former F1 champion, who recently grabbed the top spot of the F1 standings by winning the Korean Grand Prix, has out-scored Red Bull F1 racing driver Mark Webber by 11 points with 2 more races remaining on the F1 schedule. Alonso had previously claimed the Germany Grand Prix win, in a scandaleous Team order that obliged Felipe Massa to let Alonso go past him for the benefit of the F1 Drivers championship in which, Alonso has a greater chance to win the Championship in comparison with Massa.

Consequent to that pre-fixed success, Scuderia Ferrari F1 squad was fined with a $100,000 for using a banned 'team orders' rule, and amazingly avoiding the decision of losing points. The alleged decision of the FIA sparked tons of critics regarding the verdict, pointing at Jean Todt’s as a former F1 manager at Ferrari racing team.

Max Mosley told the BBC radio during a motorsport interview that: "I did feel at the very least that the extra points that Alonso got by overtaking Massa under team orders should have been taken away. That's the absolute minimum, because if by any chance Alonso were to win the championship with a margin less than the 7 points that he picked up, I would say illegitimately in Hockenheim, it would devalue the championship.”

Mosley added that his speech regarding the “devalue” of F1 is merely a personal view, but shared by millions of F1 fans around the globe. The British FIA executive added that the F1 rumor about his come-back into the FIA governing body is a decision to consider seriously.

Max Mosley, who had to survive calls for his resignation over a sado-masochistic sex scandal, pulled out from the FIA race to presidency in favor of Ferrari boss Jean Todt on October 2009.

F1 commercial master and F1 marketing maestro Bernie Ecclestone had come out with a suggestion during the Korea GP regarding Max Mosley’ Ecclestone stated that Mosley and Todt should share responsibilities at the FIA. The F1 commercialist told F1.com and other Live F1 TV channels that "I didn't want Max to go and it would be nice to have him back.

The bet on F1 has ignited recently, given the fact that 4 formula one drivers are capable of claiming the 2010 F1 championship; With Alonso, Hamilton, Webber and Vettel fighting within a close range of points, the bet on formula 1 becomes a matter of belief. F1 betting has emerged as a major sports betting process since the new millenium and is still stretching through several betting sites like Bwin.
